SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Mary N. Griffith of Carlinville, who passed away on July 6, 2009; and

WHEREAS, Mary Griffith was born on August 29, 1933 in Jerseyville; she was the daughter of James and Grace Hughes Dolan; she married William E. Griffith on October 22, 1954; and

WHEREAS, Mary Griffith was a graduate of Jerseyville High School; she worked as an administrator at Friendship Home in Carlinville for 12 years; she was a member of Ss. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church; and

WHEREAS, Mary Griffith was preceded in death by her parents; her son, James Arthur Griffith; and her sister, Margaret Ann Beane; and

WHEREAS, Mary Griffith is survived by her husband; her sons, Bill D. Griffith, Dave (wife, Jacque) Griffith and Mike (wife, Julie) Griffith; her grandchildren, Kayla, Alissa, Ryan, and Christian Griffith; her brother, James Dolan; and her many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Mary N. Griffith; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mary Griffith as an expression of our sympathy.
