SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Chuck Saponaro, who passed away on May 21, 2009; and

WHEREAS, Chuck Saponaro was born on March 3, 1957 in Cleveland, Ohio; he was the son of the late Charles S. Saponaro and Loretta Saponaro; and

WHEREAS, Chuck Saponaro was very involved in his profession and touched many lives in his real estate work; he was also very active in his children's school and social activities, including sports and coaching duties; and

WHEREAS, Chuck Saponaro was a civic leader in fundraising and was respected and admired as a colleague and friend by people in many walks of life throughout the Chicago area and beyond; after he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, he fought for the cause and willingly appeared during his illness for a Pancreatic Cancer fundraiser walk; and

WHEREAS, Chuck Saponaro was married to Jill Peet Saponaro; he was the father of his loving children, Storm Anthony and Jett Alexander Saponaro, and the dear brother of David and Scott Saponaro and Lisa Stokes; and

WHEREAS, Chuck Saponaro will be remembered by all who knew and loved him as a loving husband, father, son, and brother whose kindness and compassion were unmatched; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Chuck Saponaro; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Chuck Saponaro as an expression of our sympathy.
