SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Thomas R. Myerscough of Springfield, who passed away on February 23, 2009; and

WHEREAS, He was born on June 3, 1955, in Springfield, the son of Marion and Frances Taylor Myerscough; and

WHEREAS, He was a resident of Springfield most of his life; he was the owner and operator of the Persian Rug Center; and

WHEREAS, He was a former member of the Illini Country Club and the Sangamo Club; he was a graduate of Springfield High School and attended the University of Illinois-Urbana; he was the past president of the Oriental Rug Retailers of America; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Myerscough is survived by his daughter, India M. Myerscough; his son, Reed G. Myerscough; their mother, Ragan Myerscough; his parents, Marion "Mike" and Frances "Fran" Myerscough; his sister, Sue Myerscough and her husband, L. Robert Mueller; his brother, Michael R. Myerscough and his companion, Linda Krygoski; several aunts and uncles; his nieces; and many cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Thomas Myerscough; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Thomas Myerscough as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
