Amends the Local Government Debt Limitation Act. Makes a technical change in a Section exempting certain indebtedness of fire protection districts from the indebtedness limitation of the Act.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning local government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Local Government Debt Limitation Act is amended by changing Section 1.5b as follows:

(50 ILCS 405/1.5b) (from Ch. 85, par. 851.5b)

Sec. 1.5b. The The limitation prescribed in Section 1 of this Act shall not apply to any indebtedness of any fire protection district to acquire, establish, maintain and operate fire stations, including the acquisition of a site or sites therefor, facilities, vehicles, apparatus and equipment for fire protection purposes.
