SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
105 ILCS 230/5-65 new

    Amends the School Construction Law. Provides that any education construction funds that the Capital Development Board receives through the federal government as part of the federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 must first be used to pay Fiscal Year 2002 School Construction Program grant recipients. Effective immediately.

1     AN ACT concerning education.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The School Construction Law is amended by adding
5 Section 5-65 as follows:
 
6     (105 ILCS 230/5-65 new)
7     Sec. 5-65. FY02 grant recipients; federal funds. Any
8 education construction funds that the Capital Development
9 Board receives through the federal government as part of the
10 federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 must
11 first be used to pay all of the following Fiscal Year 2002
12 School Construction Program grant recipients:
13         (1) Rochester Community Unit School District 3A, in the
14     amount of $10,183,033.
15         (2) Fairfield Public School District 112, in the amount
16     of $3,898,926.
17         (3) Stewardson-Strasburg Community Unit District 5A,
18     in the amount of $2,046,533.
19         (4) Johnston City Community Unit School District 1, in
20     the amount of $528,822.
21         (5) Winfield School District 34, in the amount
22     of$2,312,480.
23         (6) East St. Louis School District 189, in the amount

1     of $29,025,628.
2         (7) Silvis School District 34, in the amount of
3     $11,900,936.
4         (8) Joliet Public School District 86, in the amount of
5     $26,774,854.
6         (9) Community Consolidated School District 93 - Carol
7     Stream, in the amount of $1,554,822.
8         (10) Hinckley-Big Rock Community Unit School District
9     429, in the amount of $1,939,944.
10         (11) West Northfield School District 31, in the amount
11     of $1,780,688.
12         (12) DuQuoin Community Unit School District 300, in the
13     amount of $10,263,396.
14         (13) Benton Community Consolidated School District 47,
15     in the amount of $2,464,790.
16         (14) Villa Park School District 45, in the amount of
17     $980,545.
18         (15) Westchester School District 92 1/2, in the amount

12     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
13 becoming law.
