HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the young men of Cub Scout Pack 100 of Hoffman Estates and Schaumburg that are receiving their Arrow of Light and graduating from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts; and

WHEREAS, Pack 100 has been around for 50 years; the original charter organization was the Volunteer Fire Department of Hoffman Estates; the Pack primarily meets at Fairview School in Hoffman Estates, and their current charter organization is Our Saviour's United Methodist Church in Schaumburg; the pack members are from both Hoffman Estates and Schaumburg; and

WHEREAS, The graduation will take place on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at Chandler's Banquets at the Schaumburg Golf Club, an annual celebration to commemorate the birth of Scouting in 1910, making this the 100th anniversary of Scouting in the United States; and

WHEREAS, Cub Scout Troop 100 celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2009, and is one of the oldest active Cub Scout troops in the Hoffman Estates and Schaumburg area; and

WHEREAS, The young men receiving their Arrow of Light and graduating from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts are: Zachary Wagner, Daniel Zawadzki, Benjamin Mayginnes, Henry Pritscher, Bailey Morales, Tyler Chin, Shahir Taj, Ryan Schwienberg, Kevin Caboor, and Tyler Futris; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the young men of Cub Scout Pack 100 and wish them continued success in their future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the young men of Cub Scout Pack 100 as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
