HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate the young men of
4 Cub Scout Pack 100 of Hoffman Estates and Schaumburg that are
5 receiving their Arrow of Light and graduating from Cub Scouts
6 to Boy Scouts; and
 
7     WHEREAS, Pack 100 has been around for 50 years; the
8 original charter organization was the Volunteer Fire
9 Department of Hoffman Estates; the Pack primarily meets at
10 Fairview School in Hoffman Estates, and their current charter
11 organization is Our Saviour's United Methodist Church in
12 Schaumburg; the pack members are from both Hoffman Estates and
13 Schaumburg; and
 
14     WHEREAS, The graduation will take place on Sunday, February
15 28, 2010 at Chandler's Banquets at the Schaumburg Golf Club, an
16 annual celebration to commemorate the birth of Scouting in
17 1910, making this the 100th anniversary of Scouting in the
18 United States; and
 
19     WHEREAS, Cub Scout Troop 100 celebrated their 50th
20 anniversary in 2009, and is one of the oldest active Cub Scout
21 troops in the Hoffman Estates and Schaumburg area; and

1     WHEREAS, The young men receiving their Arrow of Light and
2 graduating from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts are: Zachary Wagner,
3 Daniel Zawadzki, Benjamin Mayginnes, Henry Pritscher, Bailey
4 Morales, Tyler Chin, Shahir Taj, Ryan Schwienberg, Kevin
5 Caboor, and Tyler Futris; therefore, be it
 
6     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
7 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
8 congratulate the young men of Cub Scout Pack 100 and wish them
9 continued success in their future endeavors; and be it further
 
10     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11 presented to the young men of Cub Scout Pack 100 as a symbol of
12 our respect and esteem.
