HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Brendan Winter of Boy Scout Troop 77 in Gurnee on the occasion of attaining the coveted rank of Eagle Scout; and

WHEREAS, To achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, Brendan Winter undertook the project of working with the landscaping and wheelchair ramp at Northpointe Resources, Inc. and Wildwood House; and

WHEREAS, Brendan finished work on the wheelchair ramp, adding lattice work under the ramp; in addition, he designed new landscaping, removed dead trees, branches, and other debris, and planted new trees, bushes, and flowers; and

WHEREAS, Brendan began his scouting career in the second grade as a Cub Scout; and

WHEREAS, The rank of Eagle Scout will be bestowed upon Brendan Winter by the Boy Scouts of America at a Court of Honor ceremony on January 3, 2010; and

WHEREAS, Brendan Winter serves as a model of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Brendan Winter of Boy Scout Troop 77 on the occasion of attaining the coveted rank of Eagle Scout and wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Brendan Winter as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
