HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate George Muentnich of Shorewood on his retirement as Assistant Chief of the Troy Volunteer Fire Department; and

WHEREAS, He joined the Troy Volunteer Fire Department in 1973 as a cadet; he is also one of the Police and Fire Commissioners in Shorewood and is an elected member of the Troy Township Board, where he currently serves as Clerk; and

WHEREAS, He has been employed by the Joliet Township High School District 204 for 21 years as Director of Buildings and Grounds; and

WHEREAS, His memberships include the Village of Shorewood Fire and Police Board, Illinois Fire Chiefs Association, Illinois Clerks Association, the Township Officials of Illinois, and the Loyal Order of The Moose Lodge 300; and

WHEREAS, He is the proud father of Matt and Kyrsten; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate George Muentnich and wish him the best in all his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to George Muentnich as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
