HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Amie Burke on being the newly elected 2009-2010 Illinois Association Future Farmers of America State President; and

WHEREAS, Amie Burke is from Oakwood and has been the Oakwood FFA Chapter President for three years; she has also served as Section 18 Reporter, Section 18 President, and District 4 Director; and

WHEREAS, Amie Burke was born in Urbana and is the daughter of Debbie Burke and Virgil Burke; she is the granddaughter of Larry and Nancy Bott; and

WHEREAS, She attended grades Kindergarten through 12th grade in the Oakwood School District; she graduated in May as co-valedictorian of her class; and

WHEREAS, She will serve the Illinois Future Farmers of America over the next year; she will promote agriculture and leadership; she plans to further her education in Agricultural Education and Sign Language Interpretation and Communication; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Amie Burke on her election to the State FFA President position and wish her all the best in her future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Amie Burke as a symbol of our respect.
