HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Ron Putzell of Itasca, who passed away on January 20, 2009; and

WHEREAS, Ron Putzell moved to Itasca in 1988; he began serving as a trustee on the Itasca Village Board in 1995 and took on key roles on local committees, such as chairman of the Community Development Committee, chairman of the Western Access and O'Hare Noise Committee, and village liaison to the DuPage Mayors and Managers Conference; he also sat on the board of the Northern DuPage Cable Television Agency; his vision helped shepherd the development, design, and construction of Itasca's new municipal complex in recent years; and

WHEREAS, Ron Putzell was the owner of Data Cable Services Inc. in Addison; and

WHEREAS, Ron Putzell enjoyed golfing and was a long-standing member at the Itasca Country Club; he also was a member of the Itasca Lions Club and Saint Luke's Church; he and his family often took vacations in Colorado, where he dreamed of retiring and pursuing his skiing hobby; and

WHEREAS, Ron Putzell is survived by his wife, Barbara, and his daughter, Lara; and

WHEREAS, Ron Putzell will be remembered by all who knew and loved him as a man of integrity, intelligence, and dedication whose persistent honesty endeared him to everyone he met; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Ron Putzell; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ron Putzell as an expression of our sympathy.
