HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to thank Ron Hunt for his years of service to the City of Villa Grove; and

WHEREAS, He served as an Alderman for the City of Villa Grove from 1991 to 1993 and as Mayor of the City of Villa Grove from 1993 to 2009; and

WHEREAS, He has been involved for several years organizing the Villa Grove Ag Days celebration; and

WHEREAS, He retired from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as an ironworker foreman; and

WHEREAS, He has enjoyed raising horses and was involved in barrel racing; he enjoys carpentry projects, being with his family, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, He is married to his wife, Becky; they are the proud parents of two daughters, Chris Schultz and Sandra Nicholson; two sons, Sam Hunt and Rick Hunt (deceased); and two step-daughters, Renae Seal and Rachel Chandler; they are the loving grandparents of Alicia, Jennifer, Scott, Samantha, Jordyn, Dane, Jada, Anthony, Austin, and Brittany; and the loving great-grandparents of Eli, Rylee, Alyse, Maggie, Fletcher, and Dominic; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we thank Ron Hunt for his years of service to the City of Villa Grove and wish him continued success in all his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Ron Hunt as a symbol of our respect.
