HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Reverend
4 Daniel J. O'Sullivan, who passed away on December 15, 2008; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Reverend Daniel O'Sullivan served with the
6 Archdiocese of Chicago for 46 years; he served as the Pastor of
7 St. Irenaeus Church in Park Forest for the past 19 years; and
 
8     WHEREAS, Reverend Daniel O'Sullivan was active in the Park
9 Forest Clergy Association and was previously honored as Pastor
10 of the Year at Freedom Hall; he presided over the Kiwanis World
11 Day of Prayer and Hands Across America; he also ran in the
12 Scenic P.F. 5K Run and attended many traditional Kiwanis
13 Pancake Days; he also served as chaplain of the Kerry
14 Association; and
 
15     WHEREAS, Reverend Daniel O'Sullivan was inducted into the
16 Park Forest Hall of Fame in April of 2007 in recognition of his
17 service to his community; and
 
18     WHEREAS, Reverend Daniel O'Sullivan was the beloved son of
19 the late Margaret, nee Daly, and Timothy O'Sullivan; the dear
20 brother of Neil (Pat) and Jerry (Kathy) O'Sullivan; the fond
21 uncle of Tim (Jean) and Dan (Caryn) O'Sullivan and Eileen (Jim)

1 Koch; and the great-uncle of Matt, Kevin, Jack, Maggie, Mikey,
2 Danny, Colin and Meghan; and
 
3     WHEREAS, Reverend Daniel O'Sullivan will be remembered by
4 all who knew and loved him as a warm, kind, loving,
5 compassionate, and understanding person; therefore, be it
 
6     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
7 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
8 mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of
9 Reverend Daniel J. O'Sullivan; and be it further
 
10     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11 presented to the family of Reverend Daniel J. O'Sullivan as an
12 expression of our sympathy.
