HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the Mount Carmel High School Golf Team on the occasion of winning the IHSA Class 1A State Golf Championship; and

WHEREAS, The Mount Carmel High School Golf Team finished the 2-day, 36-hole IHSA Class 1A State Golf Championship at Bloomington's Prairie Vista Golf Course with a combined score of 620, defeating Effingham St. Anthony by 5 strokes; the team's seniors have a 4-year record of 228-33; and

WHEREAS, The Mount Carmel High School Golf Team's victory marks the school's first State championship victory since the school's football team in 1981; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Mount Carmel High School Golf Team are Tucker Guisewite, Wade Thompson, Grant Williams, David Schroeder, Christian Seaton, and Chase Witsman; the team's coach is John White; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Mount Carmel High School Golf Team serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the members of the Mount Carmel High School Golf Team on the occasion of winning the IHSA Class 1A State Golf Championship and wish them continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Mount Carmel High School Golf Team coach John White as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
