HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to honor Sam Wolf for his many years of dedicated service to the people of the State of Illinois; and

WHEREAS, Sam Wolf served the people of this State with pride and integrity as an Illinois State Representative from 1974 to 1992; during his tenure with the Illinois House of Representatives, he was instrumental in the legislation that established community college sub-districts; he was regarded by his constituents and his fellow Representatives as a capable and effective legislator; and

WHEREAS, Sam Wolf has served as a trustee at Southwestern Illinois College since 1995; he has also played a vital role at SWIC's Sam Wolf Granite City Campus, which includes his procurement of the funding to establish the Industrial Technology Center at the campus and his role in establishing the Auto Collision Repair Technology Center; a dedication ceremony for the newly-renovated Sam Wolf Granite City Campus will be held on October 20, 2010; and

WHEREAS, Sam Wolf serves as a model of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we honor Sam Wolf for his many years of dedicated service to the people of the State of Illinois and wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That we designate October 20, 2010 as Sam Wolf Day in the State of Illinois in honor of Sam Wolf and his accomplishments; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Sam Wolf as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
