HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Oscar D. "O.D." Troutman of Metropolis, who passed away on January 11, 2010; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Troutman graduated from Metropolis Community High School in 1943 and was married September 10, 1951; he was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corp; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents, Reverend David and Gracie Brown Troutman; his sisters, Modell Devers, Ova Obermark, and an infant sister; and

WHEREAS, Oscar Troutman is survived by his wife of 59 years, Doris Jean Troutman; his daughter, Nancy Farley (Jim); his son, David Troutman (Tracie); his sisters, Alice Davidson, Pat Calhoun, and Ruth Causer; his brother, Joe Troutman; his grandsons, Adam Farley (Leah), Clinton Farley (Kaitlyn), and Dawson Troutman; his granddaughter, Alexis Troutman; and his two great-granddaughters, Ava and Gemma; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Oscar Troutman; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Oscar Troutman as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
