HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Ana Lee Pokrzywa on the occasion of being honored as a finalist at the 18th Annual Citywide 7th Awards Ceremony by the City of Chicago Commission on Human Relations; and

WHEREAS, The City of Chicago Commission on Human Relations' 7th Grade Essay Contest invites 7th grade students throughout the Chicago area to write an essay on how to improve human relations throughout their schools, their communities, and the city itself; and

WHEREAS, Ana Lee Pokrzywa was selected to be one of 20 finalists from over 3,500 essays submitted to the Commission on Human Relations; and

WHEREAS, Ana Lee Pokrzywa will receive over $8,000 in awards and prizes for being a finalist in the contest; and

WHEREAS, Ana Lee Pokrzywa serves as a model of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Ana Lee Pokrzywa on the occasion of being honored as a finalist at the 18th Annual Citywide 7th Awards Ceremony and wish her continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Ana Lee Pokrzywa as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
