HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened at the death of United States Army Private First Class Michael S. Pearson of Bolingbrook, who passed away on November 5, 2009 at Fort Hood, Texas; and

WHEREAS, Michael Pearson was born on February 6, 1987 in Bolingbrook; he attended Bernard J. Ward Middle School and graduated from Bolingbrook High School in 2006; and

WHEREAS, Michael Pearson served in the United States Army since September 25, 2008 and was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas; and

WHEREAS, Michael Pearson was, as a child, full of laughter and curiosity; he was taught to play the guitar by his father, and in turn taught guitar to his friends; he also participated in the martial arts as a hobby; and

WHEREAS, He was an inspirational role model and a mentor to his nieces and nephews; he had a zest for life and found a friend in everyone he met; he was a true patriot, who loved people and was loved by people; and

WHEREAS, Private First Class Michael Pearson is survived by his parents, Sheryll and Jeff Pearson; he was the devoted brother of Jason, Kristopher, and Julie; the cherished uncle of Trent, George, Arianna, Tristen, Angelina, Gabriel, Dylan, Amanda, Nicholas, Isabella, and Noah; and he is also survived by numerous cousins and dear friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of United States Army Private First Class Michael Pearson; and be it further

RESOLVED, That we honor the memory of Private First Class Michael Pearson and his willingness to serve our country, which led to him making the ultimate sacrifice; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Private First Class Michael Pearson as an expression of our sympathy.
