HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Arthur L. Hagman of Wildwood, who passed away on April 4, 2010; and

WHEREAS, Arthur L. Hagman was born October 6, 1926, in Minneapolis, Minnesota; and

WHEREAS, He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Waukegan; he was a World War II veteran, serving in the United States Navy; and he was a member and past president of the Lake Villa V.F.W. #4308, Cooties #67, and the USS Carter Hall Association; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Cora Hagman; his sister-in-law, Lorraine Hagman; his brother-in-law, James W. Craze; and his godson, Michael J. Gibour; and

WHEREAS, He was the beloved husband for 51 years of Mary M.; the loving father of Alice (Bill) Spangler and Bill (Cheryl) Hagman; the dear grandfather of Nathan and Nicholas Chott, Anna, and Danielle and Cara Hagman; and the dear brother of Harold Hagman and John (Joanne) Hagman; he is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and godchildren; and a host of close friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Arthur Hagman; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Arthur L. Hagman as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
