SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

20 ILCS 1005/1005-165 new

Amends the Department of Employment Security Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that the Department of Employment Security shall provide a list of free or low cost health care options potentially available to applicants for unemployment insurance benefits. Provides that the Department shall notify an applicant by mail or e-mail, if e-mail is available, upon receipt of the application for unemployment insurance benefits.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Department of Employment Security Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by adding Section 1005-165 as follows:

(20 ILCS 1005/1005-165 new)

Sec. 1005-165. List of health care options. The Department of Employment Security shall provide a list of free or low cost health care options potentially available to applicants for unemployment insurance benefits. The Department shall notify an applicant by mail or e-mail, if e-mail is available, upon receipt of the application for unemployment insurance benefits.
