SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

615 ILCS 5/18h new

Amends the Rivers, Lakes, and Streams Act. Provides that members of the public have the right to use public waters, as described in the Rivers, Lakes, and Streams Act, for the noncommercial use of watercraft.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning transportation.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Rivers, Lakes, and Streams Act is amended by adding Section 18h as follows:

Sec. 18h. Use of public waters. Members of the public have the right to use public waters, as described in Section 18 of this Act, for the noncommercial use of watercraft, as defined in subsection 1-2 of the Boat Registration and Safety Act.
