SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
725 ILCS 185/34 new
730 ILCS 110/18 new

    Amends the Pretrial Services Act and the Probation and Probation Officers Act. Provides that for the purposes of administering the provisions of Public Act 95-773, known as the Cindy Bischof Law, all probation and court services departments are to be considered pretrial services agencies under the Pretrial Services Act and under the bail bond provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963. Effective immediately.

1     AN ACT concerning criminal law.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Pretrial Services Act is amended by adding
5 Section 34 as follows:
 
6     (725 ILCS 185/34 new)
7     Sec. 34. Probation and court services departments
8 considered pretrial services agencies. For the purposes of
9 administering the provisions of Public Act 95-773, known as the
10 Cindy Bischof Law, all probation and court services departments
11 are to be considered pretrial services agencies under this Act
12 and under the bail bond provisions of the Code of Criminal
13 Procedure of 1963.
 
14     Section 10. The Probation and Probation Officers Act is
15 amended by adding Section 18 as follows:
 
16     (730 ILCS 110/18 new)
17     Sec. 18. Probation and court services departments
18 considered pretrial services agencies. For the purposes of
19 administering the provisions of Public Act 95-773, known as the

3     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
4 becoming law.
