1     AN ACT concerning education.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship Training Act
5 is amended by changing Section 20 as follows:
 
6     (110 ILCS 46/20)
7     Sec. 20. University of Illinois College of Medicine at
8 Peoria and Northwestern University programs; funding Funding.
9 From funds appropriated for the purposes of this Act, the
10 University of Illinois at Chicago and Southern Illinois
11 University may enter into cooperative agreements with the
12 University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria or
13 Northwestern University or both for the purpose of funding
14 forensic psychiatric fellowship training programs at the
15 University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria and
16 Northwestern University. The implementation of this Act is
17 subject to appropriation. In a given fiscal year, 75% of the
18 total amount appropriated for the purposes of this Act must be
19 designated for the University of Illinois at Chicago and 25% of
20 the total amount appropriated for the purposes of this Act must
21 be designated for Southern Illinois University. From the
22 appropriation for the purposes of this Act, the University of
23 Illinois at Chicago and Southern Illinois University shall

1 negotiate, with agencies providing supervision for forensic
2 psychiatric fellows, the reimbursement of the marginal costs
3 associated with that supervision, unless the University of
4 Illinois at Chicago or Southern Illinois University is
5 providing the supervision. Agencies providing supervision to
6 more than one forensic psychiatric fellow may aggregate these
7 marginal costs.

9     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1,
10 2009.
