AN ACT concerning transportation.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Toll Highway Act is amended by adding Section 7.3 as follows:

(605 ILCS 10/7.3 new)

Sec. 7.3. Petition. Upon receipt of a petition proposing a change in a policy of the Authority, signed by not less than 1,000 legal voters from one or more counties through which a toll highway under the jurisdiction of the Authority passes, the Board of Directors of the Authority shall, within 60 days, place the proposal on the agenda of a regularly scheduled meeting and discuss and vote on adoption of the proposal.
