SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Gary L. Bradley of East Moline, who passed away on July 11, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Gary Bradley was born to Paul G. Bradley and Alice I. (Lewis) Bradley in Moline on September 5, 1947; he served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1967; his military service included a year tour in Vietnam, where he attained the rank of specialist; he additionally served as an aviation electrician in the U.S. Navy from 1978 to 1981; and

WHEREAS, Gary Bradley worked at the Rock Island Arsenal until his retirement; and

WHEREAS, Gary Bradley was affectionately known as "Butchie"; he enjoyed making crafts, fishing, and taking his nieces and nephews to movies and the Wildcat Den State Park; and

WHEREAS, Gary Bradley is survived by his siblings, Patricia Dau, Edmond Bradley, and Paula (Doug) Lundquist; his several nieces and nephews; and his cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Gary L. Bradley and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Gary Bradley as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
