| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | | 3 |
| learn of the death of Bernadine C. Hudson of Joliet, who passed | | 4 |
| away on May 7, 2008; and
| | 5 |
| WHEREAS, Bernadine C. Hudson was born in Cairo and resided | | 6 |
| in Joliet for 55 years; and
| | 7 |
| WHEREAS, She was retired from Illinois Bell (1985); she | | 8 |
| served as the Chairman of Waterway Daze, President of the | | 9 |
| Senior Service Center, Board Member of Will-Grundy Medical | | 10 |
| Center, a member of Illinois Bell Pioneers, Red Hat Club, | | 11 |
| Assembly Social Club, Esquire Jazz Club, and Mt.
Olive Baptist | | 12 |
| Church; and
| | 13 |
| WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; and
| | 14 |
| WHEREAS, Bernadine Hudson is survived by her devoted | | 15 |
| husband, Donald Hudson; her daughter, Arthetta (Harold) | | 16 |
| Reeder; her three grandchildren, Sharon
(David) Alexander, | | 17 |
| Gregory Reeder, and Jessica Reeder; her two | | 18 |
| great-grandchildren, Taylor and Shaun; and her twelve brothers | | 19 |
| and sisters; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL |
