SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Sally Boynton of Aurora, who passed away on July 9, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Sally Boynton was born on March 30, 1951 at Copley Memorial Hospital; she was the daughter of Lyle E. and Evelyn M. Oncken; and

WHEREAS, Sally Boynton graduated from West Aurora High School in 1969; she earned her bachelor's degree in education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1973 and her master's degree from Aurora University in 1992; and

WHEREAS, Sally Boynton served as the chairperson of the English department at West Aurora High School for 25 years; and

WHEREAS, Sally Boynton is survived by her husband, Thomas E. Boynton; her sons, Alex John Boynton, Thomas Jason Boynton, and Fermi; her parents, Lyle and Evelyn; her brother, Lee (Jan) Oncken; and her sister, Jan (Steve Hartman) Oncken; and

WHEREAS, Sally Boynton will be remembered by all who knew and loved her to be a kind and caring person whose love to educate and be educated was evident to all; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Sally Boynton; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Sally Boynton as an expression of our sympathy.
