SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Allan Joseph Hamilton of Huntley, who
4 passed away on May 3, 2007; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Allan Joseph Hamilton was born on August 19, 1937
6 in Columbia Falls, Montana; and
 
7     WHEREAS, Allan Joseph Hamilton founded the Itasca-based
8 commercial development firm Hamilton Partners in 1987 and was
9 active in commercial real estate development in the Chicago
10 area for more than 35 years; his company was responsible for
11 developing 22 industrial parks, 26 office complexes and five
12 shopping centers in the Chicago suburbs, from Joliet to Vernon
13 Hills, as well as projects in Chicago and Salt Lake City; and
 
14     WHEREAS, Allan Joseph Hamilton loved spending time on his
15 ranch, which he always described as being the closest place on
16 Earth to heaven; and
 
17     WHEREAS, Allan Joseph Hamilton will be remembered by all
18 who knew him as a loving husband, caring father, proud
19 grandfather, respected businessman and a great friend who truly
20 cared for everyone in his life; and

1     WHEREAS, Allan Joseph Hamilton was the beloved husband of
2 Phyllis Lynn (nee Freeman); the loving father of Mark (Jaimee)
3 and Kirk (Linda) Hamilton; the cherished grandfather of Cole,
4 Graham, Hayden, Ian, Katy and Olivia Hamilton; and the dear
5 brother of Jean (Don) Halvorsen; therefore, be it
 
6     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
7 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
8 his family and friends, the passing of Allan Joseph Hamilton;
9 and be it further
 
10     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11 presented to the family of Allan Joseph Hamilton as an
12 expression of our sympathy.
