1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate Lieutenant Joseph
4 Duffy on the occasion of his retirement from the Roberts Park
5 Fire Protection District on January 3, 2008, after 33 years of
6 service to his community; and

7     WHEREAS, Lieutenant Joseph Duffy has served his community
8 as a firefighter and paramedic for 33 years, serving for 31
9 years as a full-time member; he was one of the first full time
10 members of the Roberts Park Fire Protection District and was
11 one of the first paramedics in the Roberts Park area; and

12     WHEREAS, Lieutenant Joseph Duffy was the recipient of
13 numerous awards for exemplary service, rescues, and fire
14 prevention efforts; and

15     WHEREAS, Lieutenant Joseph Duffy's dedication to his
16 profession and to his community are worthy of the greatest
17 respect; therefore, be it

18     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
19 NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
20 congratulate Lieutenant Joseph Duffy on the occasion of his
21 retirement and wish him continued success and happiness in his

1 future endeavors; and be it further

2     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
3 presented to Lieutenant Joseph Duffy as a symbol of our esteem
4 and respect.
