HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Lois Zoller on receiving the Sidney Berkowitz Leadership award from the Jewish Child and Family Services organization in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Lois Zoller is a longtime friend of the organization, including past involvement with the Jewish Family and Community Service organization and service on the board; and

WHEREAS, She is involved with the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago, she served as Community Campaign Chair and Women's Division President, and she currently serves on seven committees; and

WHEREAS, She serves on the board of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, the Chicago and International board of the Weizmann Institute of Science, the local and International Hillel, Livnot u'Lehibanot, and Project Interchange, where she served as past National Chair; and

WHEREAS, She serves on the advisory boards of the American Jewish Committee, Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School, Hebrew University, Emergency Fund for Needy People, and Magen David Adom; and

WHEREAS, Lois Zoller serves on the National Women's Philanthropy Advisory Board of United Jewish Communities, and served on the board for thirty years; she was also the past National Chair of the Joint Action Committee; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Lois Zoller on receiving the Sidney Berkowitz Leadership award and wish her the best in her future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Lois Zoller as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
