HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Carl Leonard Carr on his retirement as a trustee of the Niantic Fire Protection District; and

WHEREAS, Carl Carr started on the Niantic Fire Protection District in the spring of 1938 at the age of fifteen; and

WHEREAS, Between the years of 1938 and 1969 he rose to the rank of Assistant Chief with the District; and

WHEREAS, Carl Carr became a Trustee for the Niantic Fire Protection District in the summer of 1969; and

WHEREAS, Carl Carr has seen the updating of all the equipment and the building of a new fire house in 2001; and

WHEREAS, Carl Leonard Carr will be retiring on May 31, 2007; this date will mark 69 years of dedicated service that he has provided to the people of Niantic; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Carl Leonard Carr on his retirement and wish him the best in his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Carl Leonard Carr as a symbol of our respect.
