HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Donnie Wyatt Snider Jr. of Whidbey Island, Washington, formerly of Carmi, who passed away on February 18, 2007 in Iraq; and

WHEREAS, Donnie Snider Jr. was born July 19, 1963 in Orleans, France; his parents were Donnie W. Snider and Lois Ettalee (Hall) Snider; he was a 1982 graduate of Carmi High School; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Snider was working for a private contractor in Iraq, delivering mail to United States military personnel at the time of his death; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Snider was a 20-year veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Persian Gulf War, and serving on the USS Midway, the USS Independence, and the USS Kitty Hawk; he retired from the Navy in 2003; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; and his grandparents, Clarence and Ella Hall and Roy and Mayme Snider; and

WHEREAS, Donnie Snider Jr. is survived by his wife, Marafe Snider; his sons, Sean and Donnie W. Snider III; his sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Jarrod Hagston; his niece, Maci Endicott; his nephew, Derek Endicott; and his adoptive parents, Dan and Linda Sutton; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Donnie Snider Jr.; and be it further

RESOLVED, That we honor the memory of Donnie Snider Jr. and his willingness to give his life for a noble cause; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Donnie Snider Jr. as a symbol of our sympathy.
