HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois of Representatives are
3 saddened to learn of the death of Donnie Wyatt Snider Jr. of
4 Whidbey Island, Washington, formerly of Carmi, who passed away
5 on February 18, 2007 in Iraq; and
 
6     WHEREAS, Donnie Snider Jr. was born July 19, 1963 in
7 Orleans, France; his parents were Donnie W. Snider and Lois
8 Ettalee (Hall) Snider; he was a 1982 graduate of Carmi High
9 School; and
 
10     WHEREAS, Mr. Snider was working for a private contractor in
11 Iraq, delivering mail to United States military personnel at
12 the time of his death; and
 
13     WHEREAS, Mr. Snider was a 20-year veteran of the United
14 States Navy, serving during the Persian Gulf War, and serving
15 on the USS Midway, the USS Independence, and the USS Kitty
16 Hawk; he retired from the Navy in 2003; and
 
17     WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; and his
18 grandparents, Clarence and Ella Hall and Roy and Mayme Snider;
19 and
 
20     WHEREAS, Donnie Snider Jr. is survived by his wife, Marafe

1 Snider; his sons, Sean and Donnie W. Snider III; his sister and
2 brother-in-law, Brenda and Jarrod Hagston; his niece, Maci
3 Endicott; his nephew, Derek Endicott; and his adoptive parents,
4 Dan and Linda Sutton; therefore, be it
 
5     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
6 NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
7 mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Donnie
8 Snider Jr.; and be it further
 
9     RESOLVED, That we honor the memory of Donnie Snider Jr. and
10 his willingness to give his life for a noble cause; and be it
11 further
 
12     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13 presented to the family of Donnie Snider Jr. as a symbol of our
14 sympathy.
