HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Rodney Vincent Hogan of Buckingham on his 80th birthday; and

WHEREAS, He was born May 13, 1928 in Bethany, the son of Everett Vincent and Allane Weidner Hogan; on December 27, 1951 he married Suzanne Etherington in Springfield; and

WHEREAS, He has been involved in farming and agriculture his whole life; in 1973 he and his brother, Dick, became involved in the John Deere dealership in Dwight, which is today Hogan-Walker Implement; and

WHEREAS, His hobbies include a love of history, especially the Civil War, traveling, yardwork, and spending time with his family; and

WHEREAS, He is the proud father and father-in-law of Mike (Beverly), Dan (Melinda), and Tom (Mary); and the loving grandfather of Cari, Jenni, Ryan, Matt, Will, Jack, Aindrea, and Shannon; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we wish Rodney a happy birthday and continued good health and happiness for years to come; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Rodney Hogan as a symbol of our respect.
