HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Darlene Bohne of Frankfort, who passed away on February 11, 2008; and

WHEREAS, She gave of her time in volunteer service to the Crisis Center for South Suburbia in Tinley Park from 1997 to 2003; and

WHEREAS, In 2003 she became a founding member and treasurer of Bridges to a New Day, a not-for-profit organization located in Lockport; its services include programs for counseling individuals and families, marital counseling, domestic violence, and parenting; and

WHEREAS, She generously gave of her time in the development and the ongoing success of Bridges to a New Day; and

WHEREAS, Darlene Bohne is survived by her son, Steven; her daughter, Tracy; and her granddaughter, Sydney; all of whom were the pride and joy of her life; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we acknowledge, along with her family and friends, the passing of Darlene Bohne and look back on her life as a great volunteer who gave of herself in service to others; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Darlene Bohne at a special tribute held at the Broken Arrow Golf Club in Lockport.
