AN ACT concerning civil law.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Eminent Domain Act is amended by changing the heading of Part 5 of Article 25 and by adding Section 25-5-5 as follows:

Sec. 25-5-5. Quick-take; Indian Prairie Community Unit School District No. 204, DuPage and Will Counties. Quick-take proceedings under Article 20 may be used for a period of no more than one year after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 95th General Assembly by the Indian Prairie Community Unit School District No. 204, DuPage and Will Counties, for the acquisition of the following described property for the purpose of school construction:

THE WEST 1357.35 FEET, AS MEASURED PERPENDICULAR TO THE WEST LINE THEREOF, OF THE SOUTHEAST 1/4 (EXCEPT THAT PORTION DEEDED TO THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF INDIAN PRAIRIE COMMUNITY UNIT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 204 ON MAY 31, 2005 AND RECORDED JUNE 22, 2005 AS DOCUMENT R2005-130831) AND (EXCEPT THE NORTH 100 FEET THEREOF AND EXCEPT THAT PART CONDEMNED BY CASES 80ED-09 AND 95ED-05) OF SECTION 28, TOWNSHIP 38 NORTH, RANGE 9, EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, IN DUPAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS, CONTAINING 55 ACRES, MORE OR LESS.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
