SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Michael E. Tekampe, who passed away on
4July 20, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Michael Tekampe was born in Chicago to Leo J. and
6Evelyn C. Tekampe on January 14, 1947; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Michael Tekampe made the United States Marine
8Corps his career and served three tours during the Vietnam War;
9and
 
10    WHEREAS, Michael Tekampe loved his friends and family
11dearly; he lived his life by the motto "Practice Random
12Kindness And Senseless Acts Of Beauty"; he will be missed by
13all who knew him; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Michael Tekampe was preceded in death by his
15parents; his daughter, Jennifer Kye Tekampe; his brothers,
16Ralph and Robert Tekampe; and his sister, Jeanne Franklin; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Michael Tekampe is survived by his daughters,
18Lindsay (Eric) Dennis and Kristina Shelley; his grandchildren,
19Luke Michael Dennis, Kyle Robert Dennis, Joseph Byron Shelley
20II, and Matthew Michael Shelley; his brothers, John L. and

1James Tekampe; his sisters, Mary Cash, Margaret Dausman, and
2Elizabeth Syvertsen; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be
3it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Michael E. Tekampe and extend our sincere condolences to his
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Michael Tekampe as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
