SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Paul Kelley, who passed away on February 2, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Paul Kelley was born to Harry and Pearl Kelley; he served in the Merchant Marines and the United States Army during World War II; he married Mary Smith; and

WHEREAS, Paul Kelley retired from the Wood River Water Department; and

WHEREAS, Paul Kelley was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Laura Lannom; his sons-in-law, Terry Herrin and Carroll Gates; his sister, Eileen Reader; and his brothers, Glen and Robert Kelley; and

WHEREAS, Paul Kelley is survived by his wife of almost 70 years, Mary; his son, Glen (Mary) Kelley; his daughters, Marilyn (Tom) Jaco, Patricia Gates, and Karen Herrin; 12 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Paul Kelley and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Paul Kelley as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
