SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with sadness of the tragic and untimely death of
4 Raymond Louis Ruzich of West Frankfort on Wednesday, January
5 25, 2006; and
 
6     WHEREAS, He was born January 6, 1963, in Benton, to Louis
7 and Diane (Tomanovich) Ruzich; he valiantly served his country
8 as a member of the U.S. Navy; and
 
9     WHEREAS, Mr. Ruzich was a second-generation member of the
10 International Union of Operating Engineers Local 318; he joined
11 the Local 318 apprenticeship program on May 22, 2000, and
12 graduated on June 6, 2003; he worked as a journeyman operator
13 throughout the Local 318 jurisdiction until April 12, 2004,
14 when he became a full-time organizer and business
15 representative for Local 318; he also served on the Local 318
16 executive board; his involvement with IUOE Local 318 has
17 touched thousands of lives; and
 
18     WHEREAS, Mr. Ruzich was respected and loved by all; he was
19 a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin;
20 and
 
21     WHEREAS, The passing of Raymond Louis Ruzich has been
22 deeply felt by many, especially his mother, Diane Ruzich; his
23 brother, Mark Ruzich; his daughter, Stevie Raeann Ruzich; his
24 aunts and uncles, Mildred Russell, John Tomanovich and wife,
25 Rose, George Tomanovich, Mark Tomanovich, and Rose Bezjak; and
26 his many cousins; he was preceded in death by his daughters,
27 Ashley Ann and Jeseca; his father, Louis Ruzich; and his
28 uncles, Tony and Rudy Ruzich and Dan Tomanovich; therefore, be
29 it
 
30     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL

1 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
2 Raymond Louis Ruzich, who was taken from this world much too
3 soon, and we extend our deepest sympathy to his family,
4 friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
5     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6 presented to his family as an expression of our sincerest
7 condolences.
