SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Avis Irene Sanders of Dongola on July 12, 2005; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Sanders was born August 8, 1933, in Manchester, New Hampshire, the daughter of Wilfred Joseph and Berniece Ida Williams Miller; she married Teddy Louis Sanders on January 31, 1954, in Jonesboro; and

WHEREAS, She was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary; she was dearly loved by family and friends; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Avis Sanders is felt by all who knew and loved her, especially her husband, Teddy Sanders; her children, Teddy Lee and wife Christine Sanders, Cindy Bea and husband Greg Kingsley, and Duffy Allen and wife, Tammy Sanders; her grandchildren, Michele and Michael Sanders, Kelle Sanders, Trista Kingsley, Tiffani, Christopher, David, Duffy, and Nicholas Sanders; her brother-in-law, Arlie Wayne Sanders; and her nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Avis Sanders and extend our sincerest condolences to her family; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to her family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
