SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with regret of the death of Johnye Elizabeth Dehnbostel of Benton on July 2, 2005; and

WHEREAS, She was born on July 25, 1919, in Benton to John and Fleta (Wilson) Veal; her father, John, preceded her in death in February before she was born in July; Jess Pearson became her loving dad when he and her mother were married in 1922; her parents and two brothers, Thomas Veal and Donald Pearson, and her sons-in-law, Jerry Stafko and Max Brandman, preceded her in death; and

WHEREAS, She married Henry Dehnbostel on February 22, 1927; they have three daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Jerry Becker, Janis and David Cox, and Julie and Mike Garrett; three grandchildren, Lance Stafko and Natalie, Elizabeth, and Trey Garrett; and one great-granddaughter, Allyson Stafko; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Dehnbostel retired as office nurse for Dr. S.A. Khan in Benton; she was a longtime member of Valier United Methodist Church where she was treasured for 25 years; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Johnye Elizabeth Dehnbostel, and we extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
