SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Luke Slusher on April 28, 2005; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Slusher was born on May 14, 1982, to Tony and Katie Slusher; and

WHEREAS, He had worked as a deck hand on CGB Waterfront in Cairo, was a graduate of Century High School, and was a member of the National Rifle Association; and

WHEREAS, He was an avid hunter and enjoyed four-wheeling; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Richard and Ruth Slusher; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Luke Slusher is felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his daughter, Haleigh Breyenne Slusher; his parents; his brothers, Eric and Buddy Slusher; his maternal grandparents, Marvin and Mary Shanault; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Luke Slusher and extend our sincerest condolences to his family, friends, and community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
