SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Betty J. Goforth of Tamaroa on April 8, 2005; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Goforth was born July 15, 1927, in Mount Vernon, the daughter of Clifford and Pearl Irene (Brown) Zeigler; she married Charles Wayne Goforth on January 28, 1955, in Hernando, Mississippi; and

WHEREAS, She was a homemaker and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tamaroa; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Betty J. Goforth is felt by all who knew and loved her, especially her husband, Charles; her daughter, Judith (James) Samolinski; her son, Charles D. (Sandra) Goforth; her brother, Ronald (Ann) Zeigler; her grandsons, Chad Goforth, Matthew Goforth, and Robert Samolinski; and her great-grandchildren, Mary Samolinski and Julie Goforth; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Betty J. Goforth and extend our sincere and heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to her family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
