HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The Coal City High School football team advanced to the IHSA Class 4A Football Championship game, played on November 26, 2004; and

WHEREAS, The Coal City High School Coalers were the runners-up in the Class 4A championship game; this marks the second time the team has played in the championship game; and

WHEREAS, The Coalers are led by head coach Lenny Onsen; assistant coaches Ken W. Miller, Dan Hutchings, Greg Wills, Ryan Bunton, Jim Mikula, Micheal Bennett-Tejes, and Ray Taylor; and team captains Corey Mikula, Jeff Hodgen, Brock Martis, and Kyle Lardi; and

WHEREAS, The senior members of the Coalers are Brock Martis, Jeffrey Hodgen, Nick Arndt, Matt Blaine, Brandon Howard, Corey Mikula, Kyle Lardi, Drew Vickers, Matt Watson, Shawn Brooks, Matt Farcus, Luke Opyd, and Stepehen Miller; and

WHEREAS, The junior members of the team are Ben Rouse, Jack Carpenter, Brian Naiden, Bernie D'Orazio, Chris Walsh, Luke Turner, Nick Bonarek, Keegan Grant, Brian Popovich, Josh Hinkleman, Derek Chapin, James Knobloch, and Matt Rodriguez; and

WHEREAS, Sophomore members of the Coal City Coalers are Zach Smith, Kevin Tuskey, Alex Watson, Chris Kaluzny, Mike Bernard, Adam Kambic, Jake Tackett, Matt Trofimchuck, Wesley Trammel, Nate Arndt, Jake Daniels, Tom Barra, and Drew Benson; and

WHEREAS, The freshman team members are Morgan Sheridan, Justin Blaine, Timm Kroeger, Bryan Bertani, Travis Peters, Joe Singer, Chris Hajdu, Noah Roseland, Alan Calderon, Eric Montanez, Nick Trotter, Ryan VanDuyne, Jason Seerup, Ryan Boese, Adam Boylan, and Justin Watts; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we the congratulate Dr. Kent Bugg, superintendent, Susan Rutkowski, principal, and all the coaches and players of the Coal City Coalers on their tremendous accomplishments during the 2004 football season; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Coal City High School as an expression of our esteem and with best wishes for continued success in the future.
