HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, It is the privilege of this Body to recognize citizens of the State who have made extensive contributions to their community; and

WHEREAS, After 30 years of dedicated public service, Kay Pugh of Salem has retired from her volunteer position on the Little Egypt Festival Parade Committee, which she served as Parade Chairman; and

WHEREAS, Marching bands and floats took their places in the Little Egypt Parade, the centerpiece of the Little Egypt Festival, on Saturday, October 1, 2005, when Mrs. Pugh served for the final time as a member of the parade committee; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Kay Pugh on the occasion of her retirement after 30 years of service on the Little Egypt Festival Parade Committee, and we thank her for her many years of serving the public in a volunteer capacity; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Mrs. Pugh as an expression of our respect and esteem.
