| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, Clyde Foster has announced his retirement as Piatt |
| 3 |
| County Treasurer as of December 4, 2006; and
|
| 4 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Foster has served for 32 years; since his |
| 5 |
| first election win in 1974 he has served 8 terms; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, He first took office the first Monday in December |
| 7 |
| of 1974, and will retire the first Monday in December of 2006; |
| 8 |
| and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, He has been married for 51 years to his lovely |
| 10 |
| wife, Mary Jane "Pete" Foster; together they have 3 children, 9 |
| 11 |
| grandchildren, and one great-grandchild; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, Clyde Foster is a member of the Deland Christian |
| 13 |
| Church, where he currently serves as a trustee, and has served |
| 14 |
| as a Deacon and Treasurer in the past; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, He is a life member of the Hamm-Burke American |
| 16 |
| Legion Post 101, and the VFW Monticello Post; he is a past |
| 17 |
| little league commissioner, serving for 30 years, as well as |
| 18 |
| serving as a Boy Scout counselor; Mr. Foster is also a veteran |
| 19 |
| of the United States Army; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 21 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 22 |
| we congratulate Clyde Foster on his retirement as Piatt County |
| 23 |
| Treasurer and wish him continued good success in his future |
| 24 |
| endeavors; and be it further
|
| 25 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 26 |
| presented to Clyde Foster.
