| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives are pleased to recognize milestones in the |
| 4 |
| lives of Illinois citizens; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Jean Stoddard of Monticello, Illinois has made the |
| 6 |
| decision to retire from the Piatt County Board, where she has |
| 7 |
| served faithfully from 1992 to 2006; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Jean Stoddard is a member of the Monticello |
| 9 |
| Women's Club, where she also served as a past president; she is |
| 10 |
| a member and officer of the PEO, a former Piatt County election |
| 11 |
| judge, and a former member of the Monticello Rotary Club; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, Jean Stoddard is a former board and committee |
| 13 |
| member of Monticello Main Street; she is the chair of the |
| 14 |
| Sesquicentennial committee and reception for the Piatt County |
| 15 |
| courthouse; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, She is an active member of the First Presbyterian |
| 17 |
| Church in Monticello, where she is a choir member, session |
| 18 |
| member, and chair of many church committees; she is a Sunday |
| 19 |
| School teacher, Sunday School superintendent, Financial |
| 20 |
| Secretary, and a member of the Presbyterian Women Reception |
| 21 |
| Committee; and
|
| 22 |
| WHEREAS, She is a member and president of the Stoddard |
| 23 |
| Acres Association and the family farm bookkeeper; her most |
| 24 |
| important role is that of mother to five, grandmother to 12, |
| 25 |
| and great-grandmother to 4; therefore, be it
|
| 26 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 27 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 28 |
| we congratulate Jean Stoddard on her retirement from the Piatt |
| 29 |
| County Board and wish her continued success in her future |
