HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the State of Illinois are pleased to congratulate Robert and Agnes Kolbeck on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary; and

WHEREAS, A celebration will be held at the Shilling Educational Center at the Scovil Zoo in Decatur on April 2, 2006; and

WHEREAS, Marriage is a sacred bond of love, trust, mutual respect, and partnership; and

WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Kolbeck entered into the bonds of holy matrimony on April 2, 1956, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Decatur; and

WHEREAS, They have lived in Decatur all their lives; Agnes is retired from St. Mary's Hospital, where she was director of the Pastoral Care unit, and Robert is retired from Kolbeck Electric; and

WHEREAS, They consider their greatest accomplishments to be their children; they are the loving parents of Sarah, Steve, Susan, and Tony, and the proud grandparents of Matt, Mindy, Ramie, Maggie, Colleen, and Colton; and

WHEREAS, Robert and Agnes Kolbeck have experienced 50 years filled with love, perpetual friendship, confidence, and integrity; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we are proud and honored to congratulate Robert and Agnes Kolbeck upon the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary on April 2, 2006, and wish them many more years of wedded bliss and family enjoyment; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Robert and Agnes Kolbeck as an expression of our admiration and esteem.
