| HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The Salvation Army of Springfield is rededicating |
| 3 |
| its Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) on July 17, 2005; and
|
| 4 |
| WHEREAS, The Salvation Army ARC is one of 119 Centers |
| 5 |
| operated by The Salvation Army across the United States; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, This Center was established in August of 1951 and |
| 7 |
| will celebrate 54 years of service to Central Illinois this |
| 8 |
| year; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, The facility currently provides service for up to |
| 10 |
| 84 men and employs 92 individuals; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, The services that are provided include housing, |
| 12 |
| clothing, food, counseling, education, work ethic development, |
| 13 |
| socialization skills training, spiritual guidance, vocational |
| 14 |
| development, and recreational activities; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, The facility also provides a transitional housing |
| 16 |
| program so that an individual can make a smooth transition back |
| 17 |
| into society; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, Last year, the ARC assisted over three hundred |
| 19 |
| individuals; therefore, be it
|
| 20 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 21 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE |
| 22 |
| SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that we recognize the rededication of |
| 23 |
| The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center and express our |
| 24 |
| utmost appreciation for the services and support its provides |
| 25 |
| to those in need; and be it further
|
| 26 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 27 |
| presented to The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center as |
