735 ILCS 5/5-101   from Ch. 110, par. 5-101

    Amends the Code of Civil Procedure. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning security for costs.

1     AN ACT concerning civil law.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Code of Civil Procedure is amended by
5 changing Section 5-101 as follows:
 
6     (735 ILCS 5/5-101)  (from Ch. 110, par. 5-101)
7     Sec. 5-101. Security for costs. In all actions in any court
8 on official bonds for the the use of any person, actions on the
9 bonds of executors, administrators or guardians, qui tam
10 actions, actions on a penal statute, and in all civil actions,
11 where the plaintiff, or person for whose use an action is to be
12 commenced, is not a resident of this State, the plaintiff, or
13 person for whose use the action is to be commenced, shall,
14 before he or she institutes such action, file, or cause to be
15 filed, with the clerk of the court in which the action is to be
16 commenced, security for costs, substantially in the following
17 form:
18     A B v. C D - (Title of court.)
19     I, (E.F.) enter myself security for all costs which may
20 accrue in the above entitled action.
