| 1 | | SENATE RESOLUTION | 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Keith Rector of New Berlin, who passed | 4 | | away on February 29, 2024; and | 5 | | WHEREAS, Keith Rector was born in Rohrer to Wishard John | 6 | | and Evelyn Faye Farmer Rector on July 6, 1938; he graduated | 7 | | from Waverly High School; he married Shirley Eileen Reveal in | 8 | | Waverly on July 13, 1958; and | 9 | | WHEREAS, Keith Rector was employed as a heavy equipment | 10 | | operator with the Sangamon County Highway Department; he was | 11 | | previously employed as a deputy with the Sangamon County | 12 | | Sheriff's Department and the New Berlin Police Department; and | 13 | | WHEREAS, Keith Rector was an avid fan of the Dallas | 14 | | Cowboys and enjoyed watching New Berlin football; he enjoyed | 15 | | watching the TV show Cops, gambling, and raising cattle; and | 16 | | WHEREAS, Keith Rector was preceded in death by his wife, | 17 | | Shirley; his parents; his daughter, Marsha Moore; and his | 18 | | brother, Donald Rector; and | 19 | | WHEREAS, Keith Rector is survived by his son, Shawn | 20 | | Rector; his daughters, Kimberly (James) Rhodes, Beth (Kirt) |

| 1 | | Wright, and Peggy (Jeff) Bergschneider; his grandchildren, | 2 | | Justin Rhodes, Amanda Wade, Bryck Rhodes, Faye and Ashley | 3 | | Bergschneider, and Grace Rector; eight great-grandchildren; | 4 | | numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Kolbe; | 5 | | therefore, be it | 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 8 | | Keith Rector and extend our sincere condolences to his family, | 9 | | friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further | 10 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 11 | | presented to the family of Keith Rector as an expression of our | 12 | | deepest sympathy. |
