SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Dudley T. Luebbert of Hartford passed away January 1, 2005; he was born August 22, 1935 in Granite City to the late Theodore Henry and Reba (Morrow) Luebbert; he married Rose (Lilley) Luebbert on April 4, 1959 in Hartford, and she survives with 45 years of cherished memories of their life; and

WHEREAS, He retired in 2001 from the Operating Engineers Local 520 after 37 years of dedicated service, and served for the past 3 1/2 years as Chouteau Township Road Commissioner; and

WHEREAS, He was a member of the Wood River Moose Lodge #1349 for 49 years, Hartford Civic League for 18 years, and the Alton Eagles Aerie #254; and

WHEREAS, Throughout his life, he served many people through various organizations; he served as a Democratic committeeman for 38 years, Chouteau Township trustee for 8 years, Gordon Moore Park volunteer for 11 years, and treasurer and a volunteer fireman with the Hartford Volunteer Fire Department for 29 years; and

WHEREAS, He enjoyed gardening and serving people, and will be remembered for the love of his family; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Dudley T. Luebbert will be felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife; his daughter, Kimberly (Dennis) Nappier; his sons, James D. (Paula) Luebbert, William (Tina) Luebbert, and Theodore (Kristie) Luebbert; his granddaughter, Jennifer Nappier Bradley; his grandsons, Justin Nappier and Kevin, Seth, Ryan, and Matthew Luebbert; his brothers, Darrell (Betty) Luebbert and Ted Luebbert; his sister, Donna (Mel) Soures; and other extended family and many dear friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Dudley T. Luebbert and we extend our sincerest condolences to his family, friends, and community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
